The Narrative Writing Diamond (Created by Empowering Writers)

At PGS, we proudly use the Empowering Writers program – a locally developed series of lessons and methods that help kids to learn how to write well-rounded creative pieces of writing – as one of many tools in our writing instruction.  The foundation of the EW program is the Narrative Writing Diamond, which shows how much time and space (when pages are limited, such as on the CMTs) should be allocated to different parts of a story.  This is a great resource for kids and is a must-post if your child has a special spot where he or she normally writes at home.
